The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the last year. Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings. Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year. The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show. This year's winner will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December. The event will be aired from 7 PM GMT. The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent. She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters." The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history. He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown. He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time. At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record. "Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts." The Cricket Sensation Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament. Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player. "I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
