No major competition markets parity in the manner of the NFL: it defines their identity. But through ten games during the current schedule, this is not a competition featuring uniform distribution separating contenders, pretenders, and middle-of-the-pack clubs. AFC Confusion

Over in the AFC, the playoff picture is a jumbled mess. Your four division leaders after ten games: Indianapolis, New England, Denver (each with 8-2 records) along with Pittsburgh (5-4 record). Take another look. Not the Chiefs. Not the Bills. Neither Ravens nor Bengals. Historically strong franchises, featuring the league’s best quarterbacks, possess either obvious team deficiencies or are dealing with health issues.
