Former British Broadcasting Corporation Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Inquiry Following Assertions of Prejudice in Unauthorized Document

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation consultants testifying in front of MPs

We begin with inquiries from Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, who chairs the group.

She commences by providing background to the leaked document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.

"I do not desire the BBC slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it straight, unbiased and equitable," he declares.

Upon being questioned whether he believes the BBC is structurally prejudiced, Prescott replies: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is exceptional - both informative and non-factual programming."

But he adds: "There remains significant effort that requires attention at the BBC."

The second former external BBC consultant interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it operates a "persistent practice and active debate" across evolving and intricate topics.

"Whether the BBC was ready to conduct a proper discussion and argument and implement changes?" she questions. "As I see it, affirmative, they were."
